Rev. Father Michael K. Skrocki, M.Div, JCD

The Reverend Fr. Michael K. Skrocki has been appointed Pastor of St. Ann Melkite Greek.,Catholic Church by Bishop John Elya effective as of Monday 19 April 2004.

Rev. Michael K. Skrocki, son of the late Stanley and Jeselda (Pesaresi) Skrocki, was born in Allentown, PA in September of 1964. He grew up in the Allentown area and attended Catholic grade school and high school. As a young man, Fr. Michael was active in the Boy Scouts and attained the rank of Eagle Scout. Besides an undergraduate degree in Russian, Father also has some expertise with computers and worked in that field for a number of years.

In 1996 Father Michael entered the eparchial seminary of St. Gregory the Theologian in Newton, MA and attended classes at Holy Cross Greek Orthodox Seminary (as is customary in the Eparchy). He was ordained to the priesthood in 2000 and served as pastor of St. Ann Melkite Greek-Catholic.Church in Waterford, CT. Fr. Michael has served on the Eparchial Presbyteral Council, teaches Canon Law at the Eparchial Deacon Training Program, and has edited several of the liturgical publications of Sophia Press - the publishing wing of the Eparchy. Currently, Fr. Michael serves as Adjutant Judicial Vicar for the Eparchy and in May will be completing the coursework for his Doctoral degree in Canon Law.

Fr. Michael is very happy to be assigned to Danbury and is looking forward to settling in, meeting everyone and continuing the work of building up the parish.
